Buckets Of Fun

Just off the south coast of England, the Isle of Wight feels a world away with golden beaches, dramatic chalk cliffs and picturesque scenery as well as rolling countryside and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it’s the perfect place to slow down and breathe.

Just 26 miles side to side explore charming seaside towns, visit the iconic Needles or cycle and walk peaceful coastal paths with views that stretch across the horizon. Music lovers flock to Newport annually for the popular Isle of Wight Festival.

History lovers can step back in time. Known by the Romans as ‘Vectis’ the island is home to Queen Victoria’s holiday home Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle where King Charles I was imprisoned. Local produce means food lovers can enjoy fresh seafood and award-wining eateries.

Life moves a little slower on the island with no motorways… We are known as the dinosaur capital with more fossils found here than anywhere else in the UK, though now we’re home to the Red Squirrel (no grey ones) you can still find more fossils on our 60 miles of coastline.

Whether you’re catching the surf at Compton Bay, relaxing on Sandown beach or having fish and chips in the microclimate of Ventnor, the Isle of Wight promises unforgettable family memories at every turn.

Set Sail

Our island is physically disconnected from the mainland by a beautiful and vital stretch of water called The Solent, but don’t worry, getting to us is easy and we can sort it for you.

Return ferry tickets at heavily discounted or inclusive rates available as a booking add-on. Did you know that the world’s only commercial hovercraft service operates between Southsea and Ryde on the island – why not leave the car at home and experience the flight yourself.

Light aircraft can land at Bembridge (EGHJ) or Sandown (EGHN) airports on the island.

Coastal Retreat

Your home from home is here, waiting for you, your family, friends, work colleagues and furry friends too, in a place like no other at the heart of Sandown Bay on the Isle of Wight.

With both on and off site parking included, an app-based pay EV charger, and all the other self catering essentials and home comforts you’d expect to find in a seaside resort, we truly are the best base for your holiday, short getaway or work trip any time of the year.

Each apartment is unique and features something different, so let us help you find your home by the sea today.

Family run.

Family focused.

Tourism is all we know… Our family have welcomed visitors to the Isle of Wight since 1971 shortly after our first generation relocated here. Now in our third and fourth generations we remain hugely passionate about making memories for our guests. We have all grown up in Sandown and make our own family memories on the beach; we love to welcome our returning guests every year and watch families grow.

We purchased ‘Clifton’, a Victorian-era townhouse, in the ’80s. At the time it was a restaurant but soon after was converted it into two flats for our seasonal hotel staff and a popular gymnasium, which remained throughout the ’90s. In the ’00s the gym became our first holiday apartment, now Seafront Serenity; Balcony On The Bay followed behind. The latest addition is Beach Lookout on the top floor. All three floors are now home to holiday apartments – one on each level.

All three apartments were fully refurbished and refitted between 2019 and 2022, featuring new kitchens and bathrooms, furniture, carpets and décor. But we’ve always got new ideas and things certainly don’t stand still… We love the positive feedback regularly received from our wonderful guests, and we hope to make your memories truly rememberable.

So that’s us… Family owned, family run, and family focused – even at the dinner table we discuss how we can improve your experience.

We hope to see you soon – Dan, Kate & Kelly
